THE CROWE'S NEST FARM

About 4 years ago my husband expressed his dream of leaving the suburbs, buying land and starting a farm. I had never lived outside of an HOA or further than 2 miles from a grocery store so his desire to leave our home was a little scary to me. As time went on and he shared his vision with me I began to share that dream as well. As a family, we committed to using the gifts God had given us to provide a better way of life for our family.
 
We spent months researching and planning before we finally made the move. And as we settled our family into our new home, we knew that it was the right decision. Surprisingly, I fell in love with our country life right away and was eager learn to live off our land. Knowing where our food comes from has become more important to us over the last few years. Raising animals ethically, knowing that they have lived a good life, is important to us. We began raising ducks for eggs, but we quickly found that we wanted to do more. It wasn’t long until we fenced up our land, built a barn, spent lots of time learning about regenerative farming and decided to put the new pasture to use. We are so grateful for the opportunity produce our own food and provide for ourselves in a way that aligns with our values and instills strong work ethic into our children.
 
Following my husband's dream and his lead has not only brought us closer as a family but has also strengthened our faith. We have learned to trust in God's plan for our lives and to step out in faith even when it's not easy. We are excited to continue down this path and see what blessings God has in store for us on our farm.
